And there we are, again, gifting you these incredible opportunities to go travelling without moving – who (except JK, of course) knew?
Anyways, we are probably overstating our case, granted that this trip is offered to you not by us – we so wish – but rather by, you’ve guessed, our friend Willy, the very Dandy Driver we’ve all come to know and love. Willy (ever-sporting his Mechanic overalls – that were not so very French blue by the end of the journey) and his brother have, once again, taken a group of friends and their pre-war “baquets” (think of barchetta, then remove all the adornments and assorted frills and pile on some extra shock-absorbing capabilities and other reinforcements) down south towards Patagonia for yet another edition of the now celebrated GP de baquets.
The Suixtil connection, you ask? Well, several of the beasts were rightfully (considering that it represented such a “retour au sources”, a trip back to the early TC days) adorned with your colors and looked all the better for it. And they went on bravely on their 2000KM journey, earning nicknames such as “the Buffalo” of “The Stromboli“, the latter for its ever-threatening propensity to vomit its entire oil content like a boiling lava eruption.
We were fortunate that the team managed to send us a selection of their better moments and hope you’ll enjoy them as much as we did – at life speed!
