And there we go again – back to the roots in Argentina. How does that line go – just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in – and of course, it’s not like we offer too much resistance either… what’s there to resist, after – we did call it “the land of the Gods” ourselves and for very many reasons too…
Anyways, after telling you everything about the Route 40 and more about the GP de baquets and you thought this was it. No, no, no – the love affair that the Argentinians have with their classics run much, much deeper. Take, for example, the 1000 Millas – a local rendition of the most beautiful race in the world, as its Italian counterpart is nicknamed, but spice it up with exotic locales, in the midst of the Patagonian paradise, that take you from snowy peaks to bottomless lakes and back in a day, add a camaraderie that has somehow been a little lost in the massive affair that the continental cousin has become and then sprinkle the whole experience with some of the nicest classics around and there you have it – an adventure that just cannot easily be described in words but that carries emotions hard to replicate. Don’t believe us? That’s easy: take a look at the photos that Julia and Mariano took along the way, as well as some of the shots we gathered from the organizing team (whom we thank profusely here) and you’ll see exactly what we mean. Another, simpler way maybe to best appreciate that spirit is to check all the Suixtil moments that have been gathered here, as they truly represent that lively passion that animates us all – at life speed!
